DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, based on Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms movement practice\, we use our dance to dig beneath the surface like archaeologists. To find the treasures and pearls of wisdom hidden there\, gained from our own life experiences.  \n\nThe 5Rhythms offer us not only something of a map for understanding the patterns\, waves and vibrations that move us naturally from birth to death\, but also a way to embody them fully.\n\nOur journey will be a deep exploration of our personal relationship with the rhythms and rituals\, the teachings and traditions\, the people and places that have shaped and molded us. With each session\, we will dance deeper into both the parts of ourselves that we want to celebrate and cherish\, and the parts that we want to let go. \nPrerequisite for participation: Waves and Heartbeat experience \n\n\nRecommended reading: G.Roth\, Life is Movement and Totem\nBring: Writing materials\, a few family photos\, and an object that has a deeper meaning to you.\n\nCycles is one of the prerequisites for the 5Rhythms Teacher Training. The 3G rule has been in effect since March 3\, 2022.  \n \n— \nIn this workshop\, rooted in Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms movement practice\, we use our dance like archeologists to dig beneath the surface\, to seek buried treasures and pearls of wisdom gleaned from our own life experience. The 5Rhythms offer us both a map to understanding and a way to deeply embody the patterns\, waves\, and vibrations that organically move us from birth to death. \nOur journey will be a deep investigation into our personal relationship to the rhythms and rituals\, the teachings and traditions\, the people and places that have formed and informed who we are. Every session will be a deeper dance into the parts of us we wish to celebrate and honor\, as well as those parts we wish to let go. \nMoving with a diverse group of people enriches our way. The work of Cycles focuses us on our common ground\, providing us with an innovative\, creative prism through which to view our journey. \n\nPlease bring a journal\, some family photos\, and an object of deep meaning to you.\nRecommended reading: Roth\, Maps to Ecstasy and Sweat Your Prayers.\n \nPrerequisites: Waves\, Heartbeat  \nThis workshop counts as 5 days CYCLES for the 5rhythms-teachers-training-application.\n \nThe current corona rules at the time of the event apply! Since March 3 we need to be vaccinated\, recovered or tested.\n\n \n \nJonathan Horan\nJonathan is Gabrielle Roth’s son and closest collaborator. He has been immersed in the 5Rhythms® throughout his life and continues to be a key catalyst in its evolution.\n\n„From the mountains and oceans of Big Sur to the skyscrapers and theatres of NYC\, I grew up in extremes and learned a deep respect for the wilderness that is both nature and human nature. When I was nine\, I participated in my first 5Rhythms workshop – my grandfather was dying\, my mom was very fragile and I was worried about her so I hung around. I fell in love with the work\, the rhythms\, the people\, the freedom and the discipline. By seventeen\, I had dropped in fully and I have done almost every workshop Gabrielle has taught in the last twenty-five years.
